I think you succeeded with the idea of weight. If I were to suggest anything, it would be that the apples might need a little more light. On my camera, there is a setting that changes how the camera meters light: The choices are Evaluative, Spot, and Center-Weighted Average, if I remember correctly.
In this case, *maybe* (and I’m not 100% sure) the spot meter would be the one to choose. It would choose the amount of light based on the “spot” you focus on – in this case, the apples. When you use the Center-Weighted Average, I believe it takes into consideration all of the light in the frame and averages it. I can’t remember what evaluative means, lol.
Nonetheless, it’s a good photo. And you might be able to adjust it in post-processing anyway.
